Features of Tracit360

Bar Code Data utilises a wide range of technologies to facilitate tracking functionality, dependent upon the site, asset, and client requirements:

Wi-Fi technology offers a robust solution, easy to deploy for tracking medical devices in healthcare facilities, and assets within warehouses, manufacturing sites and distribution centres by leveraging existing infrastructure. It provides real-time location tracking, enhances workflow efficiency, and ensures optimal equipment utilisation. This technology helps prevent loss and theft, supports maintenance and compliance, and integrates seamlessly with existing host systems, ultimately improving patient outcomes and reducing operational costs.

Bluetooth technology is used to track assets and equipment by attaching Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) sensors to items, utilising active IoT technology throughout the facility. These sensors capture signals from the tags and transmit data to a centralised system, providing real-time location tracking, full audit trail and status. This integration with existing host systems enhances workflow efficiency, automates inventory management and ensures timely access to critical equipment.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology uses electromagnetic signals to identify or read data from an RFID Tag. RFID contains two components for identifying objects, An RFID tag and an RFID Scanner. Host systems can be accessed utilising RFID readers to verify the tag data linked to a particular asset. RFID tags contain a memory chip which can store an identification code to identify any object. RFID tags contain an antenna which is used to identify the RFID tag from the nearest distance place based on the frequency of the tag. Using passive RFID tags it is possible to identify the object from 20 feet distance. Passive RFID technology provides a lower cost of entry and more cost-effective TCO, it is applicable to identify any items or objects. Active RFID uses iBeacons and BLE battery-powered sensors to track items, identifying current location, status and usage data for items that may need regular calibration for compliance purposes, or locating those items deployed out in the field.
