Who We Are

Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Ashton-under-Lyne, Bar Code Data has more than 35 years of experience in identification, labelling, data capture and tracking technologies.

Our expertise has continued to grow alongside the business. In 2021, we acquired PM Strategic Sourcing, strengthening our specialist capabilities within healthcare, including specimen transport and tracking, pharmacy and patient identification.

In 2026, Fairfield Labels joined the Bar Code Data Group, bringing more than 43 years of specialist label manufacturing expertise and expanding our capabilities in bespoke and colour label production.

Today, our combined knowledge, technology partnerships and in-house capabilities enable us to support customers across all industries, from individual requirements to complex, integrated solutions.

Our customers include NHS Trusts and public sector organisations alongside major national brands including Adidas, Baxi, John Lewis Partnership, Just Eat and TJ Morris.

Bar Code Data is certified to ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management, holds Cyber Essentials Plus, is registered with the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) and the ICO, and is a GS1 UK Partner. We are also working towards ISO 27001 Information Security Management certification.
