Regulatory Position

Bar Code Data Ltd operates as a downstream entity and aligns its processes with applicable EUDR requirements.

Under European Union Deforestation Regulations (EUDR), Bar Code Data Ltd is classified a “small” downstream operator within the EUDR chain of custody, as defined in accounting Directive 2013/34EU, Article (3) 1.2. Bar Code Data as a manufacturer / converter of paper based adhesive label products fully intend to meet our obligations as required by EUDR, which are:

  • Collecting and retaining information regarding products purchased or sold for 5 years, inclusive of the relevant DDS (Due Diligence Statement) references for each batch of products supplied by upstream operators. This DDS reference will be available on request to our customers or if required, any auditing authorities.  
  • Notifying our customers and the relevant authorities if we discover a product which may not be compliant with EUDR. Currently our product materials are sourced within the EU, with the above compliance appropriate to goods exported to EU member states plus Northern Ireland from December 30th, 2026. The UK Government intends to introduce EUDR regulations under an amendment to the Environment Act (2021). For goods sold within the UK, the planned implementation date is 2027 (TBC). Should our status within EUDR regulations change, Bar Code Data remains committed to compliance and will issue a new statement as appropriate.

Supply Scope

Materials are sourced primarily within European regions and are intended for EU and Northern Ireland distribution where applicable.
